Our remarks
This is an excellent vintage Rolex Explorer, ref. 6610 in stainless steel with a modern stainless steel Oyster bracelet.
This very rare Explorer has got gilted dial with 4 lines on the top.
This dial as in addtion the 50m writing in gold - highly collectable!
After the success of the Sir Edmond Hillary and Tensing Norgay at Mt. Everest in 1953, the Explorer became a very wanted Rolex sports model among gentlemen.
Legendary since 1953!
