The PAM00799 is a study in material science. The 47 mm case is crafted from BMG-TECH™ (Bulk Metallic Glass), an alloy engineered for extreme resistance to external shocks and corrosion, while maintaining a finish that ages remarkably well. To provide a striking contrast and superior lightness, the unidirectional rotating bezel is made of Carbotech™, a carbon-fiber-based composite that gives every watch a unique, matte-black marbled appearance.

This particular example from 2022 is in excellent condition, showcasing the bold aesthetic that has made the Submersible a standalone pillar of the Panerai collection. The deep black dial features blue emission Super-LumiNova® on the hour markers and hands, ensuring professional-grade legibility in the darkest depths.

Powering this beast is the in-house P.9010 calibre, an automatic movement featuring a three-day power reserve and a convenient quick-hour adjustment function - perfect for the modern traveler.

BMG-Tech at Panerai stands for Bulk Metallic Glass Technology, a state-of-the-art material for watch cases. It is a metallic glass (an alloy of zirconium, copper, aluminum, titanium, and nickel) that is rapidly cooled to create a disordered atomic structure. This makes the material lighter, more scratch-resistant, more corrosion-resistant, and more impact-resistant than conventional stainless steel.
