Introduced in 1986, the ceramic Da Vinci was a bold technological statement by IWC, establishing the brand as a pioneer in high-tech materials. Approximately 200 ceramic Da Vinci models were ever produced — the vast majority in black ceramic with 18k yellow gold. Only a handful, estimated at 20–30 pieces, were created in white ceramic with yellow gold. However, this configuration — black ceramic with 18k white gold — is among the rarest of all, with only four known examples. Even more remarkable, this particular piece is fitted with the solid 18k white gold IWC bracelet, making it likely unique.
Produced circa 1995 and originally sold in 2004, this Da Vinci is not only a rarity in terms of material and configuration but is also preserved in excellent condition and offered as a full set.
The elegant white dial features a perpetual calendar with displays for day, date, month, four-digit year, moon phase, and an integrated chronograph — all within a harmoniously proportioned 39mm case. Powering the watch is the IWC caliber 79261, an automatic chronograph movement based on the known ETA 7750, modified extensively by IWC and offering a 44-hour power reserve.
"A real milestone in the history of modern horology, this ultra-rare IWC Da Vinci is a standout piece for connoisseurs of rare complications and pioneering case materials!"
