As part of the Elegance Collection the aim of the Grand Seiko Omiwatari is to cut a fine figure both in everyday life and on special occasions.
Omiwatari is the place where the gods transcend the ice, when the waters of Lake Suwa freeze over, and in most years, a long ridge of ice appears from one side of the lake to the other, says a japanese legend.
This legend inspired the Shinshu Watch Studio to create a dial that has the colour ad texture of the snow-covered ice on Lake Suwa and has a beautiful blue shine.
Inside the 38.5mm stainless steel case the Spring Drive Caliber 9R31 does its duty with a double barrel, offering a 72-hour power reserve visible through the exhibition caseback.
