Our remarks
This is a very good Rolex vintage Oyster Bubble Back automatic ref.1048 in stainless steel.
Manufactured in around 1949, this first automatic waterproof Oyster goes under the name Bubble Back, because of its bubble like back side.
Has got big arabic radium numerals and hands for best time reading.
Very rare with small second.
Great collectors piece from a very fine european collection.
This model became the real first modern Oyster and reperesents the beginning of an unseen success for Hans Wilsdorf. A Milestone in modern watch history.
