Our remarks
This is a very good Omega Speedmaster Pre-Moon, ref. CK2998 - 1, cal. 321 in stainless steel.
Manufactured in the year 1959/60.
Has got a flawless and very beautiful dial with the wanted lollipop chronograph hand.
The watch is in all authentic condition.
Great collectors and investment piece !
Legendary NASA chronograph with tachymeter scale! The CK2998 was the first Speedmaster in space, when Wally Schirra used the model on his Mercury Programm in october 1962. (Moonwatch Only, Watchpoint.cpm, Rossier, Marquié, page 250-253, 2014)
We found an OMEGA advertising picture with the 2998 with the Tachymeter 500 bezel on - see pictures.
So the ref.2998 can have a Lollipop hand or not and can have a Tachymeter bezel base 500 or 1000 on!
