Offered here is an exceptional and highly collectible IWC Portugieser Jubilee, Ref. 5441, crafted in 18-carat rose gold and presented on a brown leather strap with its original IWC 18K rose gold pin buckle.

Produced in 1994 and preserved in excellent condition, this remarkable timepiece is accompanied by an Extract from the IWC Archives as well as a service box. Originally launched to celebrate the 125th anniversary of IWC Schaffhausen, the Portugieser Jubilee is one of the most important modern IWC references and the model that successfully revived the legendary Portugieser line. The rose gold version was produced in a strictly limited series of only 500 examples worldwide.

The elegant 42 mm case faithfully follows the design language of the historic Portugieser watches of the 1930s, featuring a silver dial with applied Arabic numerals, feuille hands, small seconds at 6 o’clock, and a domed plexiglass crystal. Through the sapphire display back, the beautifully finished movement can be admired in full detail.

At the heart of the watch beats the legendary IWC Calibre 9828, a hand-wound movement derived from IWC’s renowned pocket watch calibres. This large-format movement traces its roots to the famous Jones pocket watch architecture and embodies traditional Swiss watchmaking at its finest. Featuring exquisite finishing, a large balance wheel, 19 jewels, and an approximate 54-hour power reserve, the calibre perfectly reflects the original concept of the Portugieser: a wristwatch powered by a high-precision pocket watch movement.

With its historical significance, limited production, outstanding movement heritage, and timeless design, the Portugieser Jubilee Ref. 5441 remains one of the most sought-after collector's pieces in the history of IWC Schaffhausen.
