Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Ultra-Thin Ref. 33093/000G-0936, 18k White Gold, approx. 1998, In-House Service 10/2026, Excellent
The Patrimony is Vacheron Constantin’s quiet masterpiece. It goes back to the elegant dress watches the house made in the 1950s, and it follows one simple idea: a watch should be as thin and as pure as possible. There are no complications, no unnecessary details, only perfect proportions. Collectors of classic dress watches consider this reference one of the finest examples of its kind.
The round case is made of 18 karat white gold and measures 31 mm in diameter and only about 5.5 mm in height. It slides effortlessly under any shirt cuff and almost disappears on the wrist. The slim bezel and the gently curved lugs give the watch a soft, refined silhouette that has hardly aged in more than twenty-five years.
The white dial carries slim stick markers and delicate hands, nothing more. It is a dial that relies entirely on balance and restraint, and that is exactly what makes it so beautiful. The cool white gold and the clean white dial give the watch a calm, timeless elegance.
Inside works the manually wound caliber 1003, one of the most famous ultra-thin movements ever made. When Vacheron Constantin introduced it in 1955, it was the thinnest mechanical movement in the world, measuring only 1.64 mm in height. It is the reason this watch can be so remarkably flat. Winding it by hand each morning is part of the pleasure of owning it.
It is worn on a black alligator strap with an 18 karat white gold Vacheron Constantin pin buckle.
The watch dates from around 1998 and is in excellent condition.
