Vacheron Constantin has been making watches without interruption since 1755, which makes it the oldest manufacture in the world. With the Fiftysix collection, the house looked back to one of its own designs from 1956, the reference 6073, and gave it a fresh, modern feel. The Complete Calendar is the most popular model of the line, and in steel with the petrol blue dial it shows the Fiftysix at its very best: a serious complication that is relaxed enough to wear every day.
The 40 mm case is made of stainless steel and measures only 11.6 mm in height, which is remarkably slim for a full calendar with moon phase. Look closely at the lugs and you will notice their shape is inspired by the Maltese cross, Vacheron Constantin's emblem. It is a small detail, and exactly the kind that makes this watch special.
The petrol blue dial combines an opaline center with a sunburst outer ring, which gives it real depth and lets it change with the light. The applied Arabic numerals and baton markers stand out beautifully against the blue. The day and month appear in two windows below 12 o'clock, the date is shown by a central pointer hand, and at 6 o'clock a gold moon travels across a blue night sky. Despite all this information, the dial stays calm and wonderfully easy to read.
Inside works the manufacture caliber 2460 QCL/1, a self-winding movement made of 308 components with around 40 hours of power reserve. It carries the Hallmark of Geneva, one of the strictest quality seals in watchmaking, and you can admire its fine finishing through the sapphire caseback. The watch sits on a blue alligator strap with a steel Vacheron Constantin folding clasp.
The watch dates from 2022 and is in excellent condition. It was serviced by Vacheron Constantin in 2026 and comes as a full set with box and papers, VC watch passport, hang seal, setting pin, service letter.
