Offered here is an outstanding Rolex Submariner Date, Ref. 1680 in stainless steel, one of the most desirable and collectible vintage sports watches ever produced. This very good and honest example is accompanied its original papers and is an impressive period-correct set that features many of the details that discerning collectors look for.
The watch is fitted with the highly sought-after Mark I, displaying beautifully aged original tritium luminous material with an attractive patina. The matching hands and bezel pearl complement the dial as well as the silver colored date disc with open 6 and 9, creating the harmonious appearance that defines a truly original vintage Submariner.
One of the highlights of this watch is its beautifully faded **Ghost Bezel**, which has developed a soft grey-blue tone over the decades. This natural fading gives the watch outstanding character and a distinctive vintage aesthetic that cannot be replicated.
The watch is fitted with its original Rolex Oyster bracelet featuring a VB clasp code, making it perfectly period-correct, being just one year younger than the watch itself. The bracelet is equipped with the original diver's extension and offers excellent wearing comfort while maintaining its authentic vintage appeal.
