We are delighted to present this vintage ROLEX EXPLORER Ref. 6352, crafted in stainless steel, paired with a brown suede leather strap and classic steel pin buckle—a combination that underscores its timeless adventurer’s spirit.
Produced in 1954, this rare reference is among the earliest Explorer models ever made, introduced during the same era as the historic 1953 Everest expedition, in which Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers confirmed to have reached the summit of Mount Everest—an achievement that forever shaped the Explorer’s identity.
This exceptional piece features a beautifully glossy black dial, elegantly contrasted by gilt printing and golden hands, including the highly sought-after "lollipop" seconds hand. The dial has been professionally restored, with Radium lume replaced by Tritium, respecting safety while preserving the aesthetic integrity of the original design.
The Explorer Ref. 6352 remains a seldom-seen and historically significant timepiece, radiating the authentic character and charm of early 1950s Rolex tool watches—a true collectible for vintage enthusiasts and Rolex purists alike.
