We are delighted to present this exceptional vintage Rolex Explorer I, reference 6610 — a stainless-steel classic paired elegantly with a brown leather strap and its original Rolex steel pin buckle.
The Explorer line was born from one of the greatest human achievements of the 20th century: the successful 1953 ascent of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. Inspired by this triumph, the Explorer quickly became one of Rolex’s most iconic and sought-after sport models. To this day, it remains a symbol of purity, endurance, and understated design excellence.
Produced in 1956, this exquisite example of the ref. 6610 retains its all-original radium dial, featuring the rare and highly desirable large “lollipop” seconds hand.
