We are very proud to offer this excellent and highly collectible Rolex Explorer I, reference 14270, in stainless steel with its original Oyster bracelet, presented in near-new condition and complete with box, description booklet, and warranty papers dated 1995.
This example belongs to the extremely rare early-production “Blackout” variant, distinguished by its black-filled Arabic numerals (3-6-9) instead of the later white-colored lume-filled versions. These early tritium dial models were produced only for a short period between 1990 and 1995, making them one of the most sought-after Explorer I references among collectors.
Powered by the reliable automatic Rolex Caliber 3000, the Explorer I Ref. 14270 modernized the legendary tool watch design while staying true to its roots — robust, legible, and purpose-built for exploration.
