We are proud to present this very good, vintage ROLEX COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA, Ref. 6265, made in stainless steel and fitted with a Rolex Oyster bracelet. (Rolex service - SX12).
As one of the final references from the manually wound Daytona era, the 6265 is revered by collectors for its robust screw-down pushers, clean bezel design, and its iconic place in Rolex chronograph history.
This example is fitted with a flawless, silver Tritium dial, featuring the elusive “floating red” DAYTONA designation — a spacing anomaly that appears subtly detached from the 6 o’clock subdial. This rare dial variant is a standout among vintage Daytona configurations and highly prized by connoisseurs.
The subdials retain strong contrast against the silver background, while the luminous plots have aged evenly, adding warmth and authenticity to the piece. The original hands remain intact and consistent with the dial's patina.
Powering the watch is the renowned Valjoux 727 chronograph movement, a high-frequency evolution of the Valjoux 72, finished to Rolex’s exacting standards. Known for its reliability and mechanical elegance, the 727 is the heartbeat of the golden era Daytona.
