We are pleased to offer this very good to excellent Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 16520 in stainless steel with its original Oyster bracelet.
This is a W-series example from 1996 featuring the sought-after and increasingly rare “ Dark Brown Patrizzi” dial.
This stainless steel Zenith-powered Daytona is distinguished by its naturally aging sub-dials, which have developed a rich, dark brown coloration over time—a phenomenon known among collectors as the Patrizzi effect, named after the renowned watch expert Osvaldo Patrizzi who first noted this unique characteristic. The result is a unique, organic patina that makes each of these dials completely individual.
Powered by the Rolex Caliber 4030, based on the Zenith El Primero, this reference remains one of the most celebrated automatic Daytona models prior to the in-house movement era. A defining piece of Rolex’s modern heritage.
