We are proud to offer you this very good to excellent vintage ROLEX DAYTONA Cosmograph PAUL NEWMAN, ref. 6262, in stainless steel with its original folded Oyster bracelet. (4/70).
When you talk about the ROLEX DAYTONA you will undoubtedly land at the most iconic version, the PAUL NEWMAN. To be honest you just need to say the nickname and still everybody that has the slightest idea of watches knows what you are talking about.
The reference 6262 is a rare version of the hand wound DAYTONA, only produced between 1970 and 1971 with this example made in 1971 with a serial nummer beginning with 262****.
Surrounded by the steel bezel with the 50 to00 tachymeter the PAUL NEWMAN dial with its Art Deco detailed subdials is a piece of art made by the iconic dial manufacutering company singer. On this watch the dial is in an awesome, untouched condition with all Tritium dots still on it.
The dial is also mentioned in the ROLEX service letter as “Exotic dial”, with the black base color, cream subdials and red minute track.
What makes this watch even more special is the Rivet Oyster bracelet reference 7205, stamped 4/70 with the end links marked 71 and fits perfectly.
Wonderfull example with its pump chronograph pushers and the perfect exclamation mark for any ladies or gentlemans wrist.
