ROLEX VINTAGE DAY-DATE – Ref. 1803 – 18k Yellow Gold – Structured Silver Tritium Dial – Automatic – Circa 1973 – Rare – Excellent Condition
We are proud to present this very good Rolex Day-Date Ref. 1803, crafted in solid 18k yellow gold with brown leather strap and 18k yellow gold pin buckle.
This piece is featuring a stunning factory original structured champagne dial with tritium lume — a seldom-seen configuration that elevates this vintage classic to a true collector’s piece.
The 36mm Oyster case retains excellent proportions with crisp edges and a fluted bezel. The standout feature is the textured “structured” champagne dial, offering depth and visual interest not commonly found on standard examples. The applied yellow gold hour markers and hands are filled with tritium, complementing the overall vintage aesthetic. The iconic Day and Date windows at 12 and 3 o’clock respectively are unmistakably Rolex.
Powered by the automatic Caliber 1556, the watch offers reliable timekeeping and features the quickset date function introduced during this reference’s production run. The period-correct Rolex crown and fluted bezel further affirm the originality of the piece.
Fitted to a matching 18k yellow gold President bracelet or high-quality leather strap (depending on configuration), this 1973 example stands as a timeless expression of Rolex prestige and mid-century design excellence.
“The Ref. 1803 Day-Date with structured tritium dial is more than a status symbol — it’s a window into Rolex’s rich design history and a rare treasure for the discerning collector.”
