Rolex Day-Date “Stella” Ref. 18038
18k Yellow Gold – Coral Orange Enamel Dial – Circa 1979/80
We are proud to present this exceptional vintage Rolex Day-Date “Stella”, reference 18038, crafted in 18k yellow gold and paired with a beige leather strap and matching pin buckle.
This rare example dates from circa 1979/80 and features a breathtaking Coral Orange enamel “Stella” dial with applied baton hour markers. The dial is in flawless condition—a true collector’s gem—and the timepiece has recently undergone a complete Rolex service in 2025, with the accompanying service card included.
“Stella” dials were produced in very limited quantities from the late 1960s through approximately 1980, making this variant exceedingly rare. We particularly note the absence of diamond hour markers, which further elevates the rarity of this piece. Most “Stella” dials were produced with diamonds, rendering this baton-marker example especially desirable.
In recent years, Rolex has revisited the vibrant palette of colored dials across its Oyster collection, marking a renewed appreciation for the bold elegance of earlier designs.
This Day-Date stands as a remarkable iconic piece, and its 36mm case size makes it a refined and elegant choice, particularly well-suited for discerning collectors and female enthusiasts alike.
