ROLEX VINTAGE DATEJUST – Ref. 16018 – 36mm – 18k Yellow Gold – Rare CHEVROLET Diamond Jubilee (1911-1986) Box – Very Good Condition - 1986
We are proud to offer this rare and charismatic vintage Rolex Datejust Ref. 16018, cased in solid 18k yellow gold and fitted on a matching gold Jubilee bracelet.
This 36mm Datejust stands out for its exceptional dial — a factory diamond-set "Chevrolet" dial, nicknamed for its unique pattern that echoes the iconic American automaker’s logo. Rolex and Datejust, the only written names on the dial are printed on two plaques sitting on the dial.
Produced in very limited numbers, these dials were given to so called "Diamond Jubilee Award“ recipients. The back side of the case has exaclty these word engraved plus the company logo.
Powering this piece is the Rolex Caliber 3035, a robust automatic movement with quickset date function and COSC-certified precision.
The watch remains in very good overall condition, with strong case proportions, clean factory dial, and medium tight bracelet links.
This vintage Datejust CHEVROLET is accompanied by:
- Original wooden Rolex presentation box with company logo inside
- 18k yellow gold Jubilee bracelet
- Beautifully preserved “Chevrolet” diamond dial
There are not many companied other than CHEVROLET, that acctually have had their own logo worked into the dials pattern. Normally the logo was just printed on the dial or engraved on the back.
