Introduced in 2012, the Sky-Dweller represents the original generation of Rolex's most complicated modern watch, pairing a genuine second time zone with an annual calendar before the collection's later 42-series refinements.

The 42mm case is solid 18k yellow gold, topped by the fluted Ring Command bezel that doubles as the setting interface for switching between local time, home time and calendar modes, worn on the matching yellow gold Oyster bracelet with folding Oysterclasp and Easylink extension.

The black dial shows local time centrally with luminous Chromalight-filled index markers, while a fixed red triangle references the second time zone on the off-center 24 hour disc, and the Saros annual calendar displays the month through twelve discreet apertures around the dial's circumference.

Inside runs the caliber 9001, Rolex's own self-winding movement protected by multiple patents and considered one of the most technically complex calibers the brand has ever produced, delivering roughly 72 hours of power reserve.
