ROLEX Sea-Dweller 43 "Red", Reference 126600, Stainless Steel, Box and Papers, Year 2022, Full Set, Like New

Rolex does not often look backward, but when it turned fifty years old, the Sea-Dweller got exactly that kind of tribute, and this reference is the result.

Introduced in 2017 to mark half a century of the model, the 126600 grew to 43mm, a genuine jump from the 40mm case Sea-Dwellers had worn since 1967, and it was the first Sea-Dweller ever fitted with a Cyclops lens over the date, a detail long reserved for the Submariner and other Rolex lines. The Oystersteel case still carries every bit of the model's original purpose, rated to 1,220 meters with a helium escape valve built for saturation diving, a genuine engineering feature and not just a design flourish.

The black dial sits under a graduated black Cerachrom bezel, and right across the dial in red sits the word "Sea-Dweller," a direct nod to the original 1967 "Double Red" Sea-Dweller that started the whole lineage. It is a rare instance of Rolex openly referencing its own history rather than simply moving forward, and it is the detail that gives this reference its nickname among collectors.

Inside runs the caliber 3235, Rolex's modern movement architecture with a 70 hour power reserve and full chronometer certification, keeping this Sea-Dweller as capable underwater today as the original was designed for.
