We are proud to present this stunning Rolex GMT-Master II, Reference 126711CHNR—the modern reimagining of a historic colorway, affectionately known by collectors as the “Root Beer.” Released in 2018 as a headline novelty at Baselworld, this specific example dates to that inaugural production year and represents the perfect marriage of Rolex’s proprietary precious metals and professional utility.

Housed in a 40 mm case of Everose Rolesor—a signature combination of Oystersteel and 18 ct Everose gold—this reference offers a warm, sophisticated aesthetic that sets it apart from the purely utilitarian GMTs of the past. The defining feature is the bidirectional rotatable bezel fitted with a two-color Cerachrom insert in black and brown ceramic. This seamless transition of colors, with numerals PVD-coated in pink gold, provides a refined contrast that evokes the vintage "Root Beer" heritage while maintaining a contemporary, scratch-resistant finish.

The deep black dial serves as a monochromatic canvas for the luminous Chromalight hour markers and hands, outlined in 18 ct pink gold to prevent tarnishing. The distinct arrow-tipped GMT hand, also rendered in Everose gold, allows for the simultaneous tracking of a second time zone, maintaining the model's legendary status as the ultimate pilot’s and traveler’s watch.

Powering this timepiece is the Rolex Caliber 3285, a new-generation movement that debuted with this reference. Incorporating the patented Chronergy escapement and a blue Parachrom hairspring, it offers a substantial 70-hour power reserve and improved resistance to shocks and magnetic fields. This movement represents the pinnacle of Rolex’s current mechanical engineering, ensuring Superlative Chronometer performance.

The watch is presented on the iconic Oyster bracelet, featuring center links in 18 ct Everose gold and outer links in Oystersteel.
