ROLEX DAYTONA COSMOGRAPH – Ref. 6263 – Stainless Steel – “Big Red Daytona” Tritium Dial – 1978 – Excellent

We are proud to present this legendary Rolex Daytona Cosmograph Ref. 6263, in stainless steel with a steel Oyster bracelet in excellent condition.

This is one of the most celebrated and collectible vintage chronographs of all time. It features the coveted “Big Red Daytona” designation on the Titium dial.

Produced in 1978, this timepiece remains in excellent vintage condition, retaining sharp case edges, strong crown guards, and crisp screw-down pushers. The silver tritium dial displays stunning contrast with its black sub-registers and the bold red “Daytona” script above the 6 o’clock counter, all framed by a black acrylic bezel insert calibrated to 200 units per hour.

At its heart beats the Rolex Caliber 727, a hand-wound chronograph movement descended from the renowned Valjoux 72, celebrated for its precision, reliability, and proven performance in motorsport timing. The mechanism winds smoothly and performs to specification, underscoring Rolex’s uncompromising craftsmanship of the era.
