Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 116500LN, Stainless Steel, 3-D White Dial, Black Ceramic Bezel, 2017, Unworn with Stickers

When Rolex presented the 116500LN at Baselworld 2016, it caused a stir like few watches before it. For the first time, the steel Daytona received a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel, a clear nod to the legendary vintage Daytonas with their black bezels. Combined with the white dial and black subdials, it created a look that instantly became an icon. Within a short time, the white dial 116500LN was one of the most wanted watches in the world.

The 40 mm Oyster case is made of Oystersteel. The black monobloc Cerachrom bezel carries the engraved tachymeter scale, filled with platinum, and ceramic keeps its deep black and stays practically scratch resistant. The screw-down pushers and the Triplock crown make the watch water resistant to 100 meters.

The dial is what sets this example apart. Its bright, hard white tone looks especially crisp and clean, and the printing stands out with a clearly three-dimensional, raised effect that you won’t find on every 116500LN dial. Clearly one amazing collectors item and a future hottie!

Inside works the caliber 4130, the chronograph movement Rolex developed and builds entirely in house. It uses a column wheel and vertical clutch, needs fewer parts than a conventional chronograph and offers around 72 hours of power reserve.

The Oystersteel Oyster bracelet closes with the Oysterlock safety clasp and the Easylink extension, which gives you about 5 mm of extra length.

The watch dates from 2017 and is unworn, with all its original protective stickers still in place. It comes with box and papers. An unworn 116500LN from the early years of the reference, still with stickers, is a rare find today.
