Offered here is a beautiful example from 1978 in very nice condition, featuring the iconic 36 mm two tone 18k yellow gold and stainless steel Oyster case with its sharp, architectural lines and integrated bracelet — a design that perfectly captures the confident aesthetic of the late 1970s.

The crisp silver dial with sunburst finish and applied yellow gold indices gives this piece a refined, timeless presence. The contrasting indices provide excellent legibility while adding a touch of classical sophistication, perfectly balanced by the angular case design.

Inside beats the celebrated Rolex Caliber 5035, the in-house developed quartz movement that set new standards for precision in its era. As part of the prestigious Beta 21 project’s legacy, the 5035 was entirely engineered by Rolex and is COSC-certified — a rare achievement for quartz movements at the time.
