Richard Mille RM 029 Automatic with Oversize Date, 18k Rose Gold, 2018, with Two Extra Straps

Richard Mille changed luxury watchmaking when he founded his brand in 2001. His idea was to apply the technology of Formula 1 and aerospace to watches, with extreme lightness, technical materials and movements engineered to withstand enormous forces. The RM 029 brings that philosophy to an everyday automatic watch with an oversize date. It shows Richard Mille’s typical design language in one of its most wearable forms.

The tonneau case is made of 18 karat rose gold and measures 48 x 39.70 mm, with a height of 12.60 mm. Its curved shape follows the wrist perfectly, which makes the watch surprisingly comfortable despite its presence. The screw-down crown and the visible screws underline the technical character, and the warm rose gold gives the watch a luxurious edge.

There is no classic dial. Instead, you look straight into the skeletonized movement, framed by luminous Arabic numerals. The oversize date, inspired by Richard Mille’s RM 011, is clearly readable despite the open construction.

Inside works the self-winding caliber RMAS7. Skeletonizing it took more than ten months, since the movement could not lose any strength or shock resistance. The baseplate and bridges are made of grade 5 titanium. A special highlight is the variable-geometry rotor, which can be adjusted to the owner’s activity level so the watch winds optimally whether you lead a calm or very active life. The movement offers around 55 hours of power reserve.

The watch is worn on a rubber strap with a rose gold Richard Mille folding clasp. Two additional straps are included: an orange rubber strap for a sporty, eye-catching look and a green crocodile leather strap for a more elegant one. With three straps, the watch can adapt to any occasion.

The watch dates from 2018 and is in excellent condition. It was serviced by Richard Mille in November 2026 (Two years of RM warranty) and comes with service box, box, papers and the service letter.
