This watch featuring a breathtaking cloisonné enamel dial — one of the most iconic and artistic executions in modern horology.
First launched in 2008, the Ref. 5131 pays tribute to the golden age of travel and Patek Philippe’s long-standing mastery of the World Time complication. This reference stands apart through its hand-crafted cloisonné enamel center disc, depicting a vibrant world map of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. Each dial is individually made by skilled artisans, using ancient enameling techniques that elevate this timepiece beyond watchmaking and into the realm of miniature art.
The 39.5mm rose gold case features a highly polished, elegant profile with a distinctive rounded bezel and beautifully shaped lugs. The city ring displays 24 global destinations, allowing the wearer to view the time in all time zones at a glance — a hallmark of the World Time mechanism. A single pusher at 10 o’clock enables smooth and simultaneous adjustment of the hour hand and city ring, preserving synchronization across zones.
Inside ticks the legendary Caliber 240 HU, a self-winding movement with a 22k micro-rotor and refined Geneva finishing, visible through the sapphire caseback. This caliber is revered not only for its ultra-thin profile, but also for its technical elegance and reliability.
This watch is presented in mint condition, with a fresh Patek Philippe factory service completed and documented in sept. 2025, offering peace of mind and ensuring pristine mechanical performance.
