PATEK PHILIPPE World Time Chronograph, Reference 5930P-001, 950 Platinum, Green Dial, Box and Papers, Year 2022, WEMPE, Germany, New-Like

Launched in 2021, this reference pairs two of Patek's most celebrated complications, a world time display and a flyback chronograph, inside a case inspired directly by the manufacture's legendary 1940s world timers like the reference 2523.

The 39.5mm platinum case carries the distinctive "wing-shaped" lugs drawn from those vintage references, hand-polished throughout with a small diamond set into the case flank at six o'clock, the traditional Patek marker confirming platinum, worn on a bottle-green alligator strap with a matching platinum fold-over clasp.

The emerald green dial is hand-guilloché finished, framed by a two-tone 24-hour ring and a silver world time city disc that echoes the look of historical world timers far more closely than earlier colorways of this reference. Applied gold hour markers and white gold dauphine hands carry luminescent coating, while the central chronograph hand doubles as the running seconds, paired with a single 30-minute counter at six o’clock.

Inside runs the caliber CH 28-520 HU, Patek's own self-winding column-wheel chronograph with a vertical clutch and integrated world time mechanism, wound by a 21k gold rotor and delivering 55 hours of power reserve.
