Offered in excellent condition and accompanied by its complete original set, this example was sold new in Germany in 2019.

This reference stands as the contemporary heir to an unbroken dynasty of perpetual calendar chronographs that began with the Ref. 1518 in the 1940s, continuing through icons such as the 2499, 3970, and 5970. The 5270P carries this legacy forward, enhanced by Patek Philippe’s fully in-house chronograph calibre and the enduring allure of platinum construction.

The salmon dial, unique to the platinum variant, features applied blackened gold Arabic numerals and feuille hands, creating a stunning visual contrast that shifts beautifully in different lighting. The dial layout displays day and month apertures at 12 o’clock, a moon phase with date at 6 o’clock, and subsidiary dials for the chronograph functions, balanced by the leap-year and day/night indicators — all executed with perfect harmony.
