PATEK PHILIPPE Nautilus Chronograph, Reference 5980/1R-001, 18k Rose Gold, Bracelet, Box and Papers, Year 2019, Excellent, Full Set

The 5980 gave the Nautilus its first true chronograph, adding pushers at two and four o'clock to Gerald Genta's porthole silhouette without ever disturbing the design's original balance.

The wonderful 40.5mm case is crafted entirely in 18k rose gold, brushed and polished across the octagonal bezel, worn on the matching integrated rose gold bracelet with fold-over clasp, with a sapphire case back revealing the movement beneath.

The black gradient dial keeps the horizontal embossed pattern running uninterrupted, thanks to a clever mono-counter at six o'clock combining the 60-minute and 12-hour totalizers, with rose gold applied hour markers and a date window at three.

Inside runs the fantastic Patek flyback caliber CH 28-520 C, Patek's own self-winding chronograph movement with a 21k gold central rotor, delivering 45 to 55 hours of power reserve.
