Introduced to mark the 50th anniversary of the Golden Ellipse, this Jumbo execution revives the largest case size ever given to Patek's iconic silhouette, drawn directly from the proportions of the golden ratio since the model's 1968 debut.
The case is 18k rose gold, measuring 34.5 x 39.5mm and just 5.9mm thick, with a crown set with a black onyx cabochon and the strap attachment discreetly concealed beneath the case band, worn on a shiny black alligator strap with square scales and a matching rose gold tang buckle.
The ebony black sunburst dial pairs rose gold cheveu-style hands with applied baton hour markers on an 18k gold dial plate, an "evening dress" execution that lets the warm rose gold case contrast beautifully against the deep black surface.
Inside runs the caliber 240, Patek's own ultra-thin self-winding movement with an off-center 22k gold mini-rotor, Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring, delivering a minimum 48 hours of power reserve from just 152 parts and 27 jewels, carrying the Patek Philippe Seal.
