Patek Philippe Calatrava Chronograph Ref. 5170J-001 – 18k Yellow Gold – Box & Papers – 2012 – Unworn Full Set

We are delighted to present this exceptional Patek Philippe Calatrava Chronograph Ref. 5170J-001, a refined and historically significant chronograph from the legendary Geneva manufacture Patek Philippe.

Crafted in elegant 18k yellow gold and produced in 2012, this outstanding example is offered unworn and as a complete full set, including its original box and papers. Preserved in remarkable condition, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most important modern chronographs from the Calatrava family.

The classic 39 mm case in 18k yellow gold embodies the timeless design language for which Patek Philippe is renowned. With its perfectly proportioned case, polished bezel, and beautifully sculpted lugs, the Ref. 5170 maintains the understated elegance of the Calatrava line while incorporating the technical sophistication of a traditional chronograph.

The opaline silver dial is both balanced and highly legible, featuring applied gold Breguet numerals, a pulsation scale, and one  symmetrically arranged chronograph counter. The sword hands and finely printed scales create a harmonious aesthetic that pays homage to the classic chronographs produced by the manufacture in the mid-20th century.

At the heart of the watch beats the renowned CH 29-535 PS manual-wind chronograph caliber, entirely developed and manufactured in-house by Patek Philippe. Introduced as the brand’s first fully in-house traditional chronograph movement, it represents a milestone in modern haute horlogerie. The movement incorporates six patented chronograph innovations and is beautifully finished to the highest standards of the manufacture, featuring Geneva stripes, polished bevels, and hand-finished components visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

The watch is fitted with a high-quality leather strap and the original 18k yellow gold Patek Philippe folding clasp, ensuring both comfort and full authenticity.
