We are delighted to present this very good vintage Omega Seamaster Cosmic Triple Date Moon-Phase Ref. 2473, a rare and historically significant complication from one of Switzerland’s most celebrated watchmakers.

Crafted in 18k rose gold and dating around 1946, this remarkable timepiece is offered in excellent condition. It represents an important era in post-war horology, when Omega demonstrated its technical prowess through the creation of complex calendar wristwatches.

The elegant case in warm 18k rose gold features classic proportions and refined lugs, embodying the timeless design language of the 1940s. Its balanced presence on the wrist reflects both sophistication and understated luxury, making it a true collector’s piece.

The original dial is a masterful display of vintage complication, featuring a triple calendar with day, date, and month indications, complemented by a beautifully executed moon-phase display. The layout remains harmonious and highly legible, enhanced by period-correct details that underline the watch’s authenticity and charm. The golden arabic numerals and hour markers are beautifully set up onto the silver dial, which shows some minor patination.

At its heart beats a finely crafted mechanical movement cal.381,  showcasing Omega’s commitment to precision and reliability. The movement reflects the brand’s longstanding tradition of producing high-quality calibers during one of the most innovative periods in its history. The caliber is Lemania based, but majorly refined and changed through OMEGAS watchmakers.
