We are delighted to present this highly collectible Omega Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award”, Ref. 311.32.42.30.04.003—one of the most beloved and historically meaningful modern Speedmaster editions.

Released in 2015 in a limited series of only 1,970 pieces, this second Snoopy edition commemorates the Silver Snoopy Award presented by NASA to Omega in recognition of its critical role during the Apollo 13 mission. As such, this watch stands as a tribute to one of the most dramatic and inspiring chapters in space exploration history.

The 42 mm stainless steel case retains the classic asymmetrical Speedmaster Professional design, offering both presence and wearability. Its twisted lugs and balanced proportions ensure timeless appeal, while the black nylon fabric strap enhances its sporty yet collectible character.

The distinctive white dial is enamel like executed and features a clean, fully monochromatic layout, with all subdials presented in the same crisp white tone. Black hands and markers provide sharp contrast and excellent legibility. The defining highlight is the 9 o’clock subdial, where Snoopy is depicted lying horizontally, accompanied by his iconic thought bubble bearing the words “Failure is not an option”—a direct reference to the Apollo 13 mission and its enduring legacy.

A subtle yet highly significant detail can be found on the outer minute track: the first 14 seconds of the chronograph are specially marked and accompanied by the inscription “What could you do in 14 seconds?” This feature pays tribute to the critical 14-second engine burn executed during Apollo 13, a maneuver in which precise timing—measured using an Omega Speedmaster—was essential for the safe return of the astronauts.

The caseback is equally captivating, showcasing a medallion of Snoopy in silver set against a dark blue enamel background, further reinforcing the watch’s connection to NASA’s prestigious award.

Powering the watch is the legendary Omega caliber 1861, a manually wound chronograph movement based on the architecture used in the original Moonwatch. Renowned for its reliability and historical continuity, this movement further reinforces the Speedmaster’s iconic status.

This example is preserved in excellent condition and benefits from a full service carried out by Omega in April 2024, ensuring perfect mechanical performance.
