Offered here is one of the most celebrated timepieces in horological history – the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, reference 311.30.42.30.01.005. This model remains true to the original design worn during the most daring human adventure: the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.
The Speedmaster Professional is not just a watch – it’s the first watch worn on the moon. After extensive NASA testing in the 1960s, it was the only timepiece flight-qualified for all manned space missions. Buzz Aldrin famously wore his Speedmaster as he stepped onto the lunar surface, forever etching this chronograph into history. The watch was nicknamed “Moonwatch” and became immortalized by the Apollo 11 mission, as it was the official timepiece for NASA space missions.
This particular reference continues to honor that legacy with its hesalite crystal, manual-wind calibre 1861 (the direct descendant of the legendary 321 and 861 movements), and the classic 42mm stainless steel case.
