The Omega Speedmaster stands among the most iconic chronographs ever created, celebrated worldwide for its deep connection to space exploration and its enduring role in horological history. With the introduction of the Dark Side of the Moon collection, Omega reimagined this legendary model through the use of cutting-edge materials and contemporary design, creating one of the most distinctive modern Speedmaster references.

Inspired by the famous phrase used by Apollo astronauts when orbiting the moon, the “Dark Side of the Moon” combines the historic DNA of the Speedmaster with an entirely modern aesthetic. Since its introduction, the reference has become one of the most recognizable and sought-after ceramic Speedmasters, admired by collectors for its bold appearance, technical sophistication, and everyday wearability.

Crafted entirely from black zirconium oxide ceramic, the 44.25 mm case showcases Omega’s expertise in advanced materials technology. The monochromatic design creates an unmistakably stealthy presence on the wrist while maintaining the sporty proportions and unmistakable character that define the Speedmaster lineage.

The watch features a beautifully executed black dial with applied indexes and contrasting chronograph indications, offering excellent legibility while preserving the clean and technical appearance of the model. The matching black ceramic bezel with tachymeter scale further enhances the watch’s contemporary and highly distinctive character, housed in 18k Sedna Gold.

At the heart of the watch beats the Omega Co-Axial Calibre 9300, one of Omega’s most celebrated in-house chronograph movements. Equipped with a column-wheel chronograph mechanism, Co-Axial escapement, silicon balance spring, and twin-barrel architecture, the movement delivers outstanding reliability, precision, and a power reserve of approximately 60 hours.
