We are honored to present this extraordinarily rare A. Lange & Söhne Tourbillon “Pour le Mérite” Ref. 701.011, one of the most exciting and historically significant timepieces of modern haute horlogerie.

Produced in 1996 in a strictly limited edition of only 50 pieces in platinum, this exceptional watch represents a cornerstone in the rebirth of A. Lange & Söhne following German reunification. As one of the brand’s earliest and most prestigious creations, it embodies the technical ambition and uncompromising craftsmanship that redefined Saxon watchmaking in the late 20th century.

The 38.5 mm case, crafted in solid 950 platinum, offers a refined yet commanding presence on the wrist. Its classical proportions, combined with Lange’s signature attention to detail, create a timeless aesthetic that perfectly complements the complexity within.

The dial, executed in solid gold and finished in a warm silver tone, features the iconic Lange outsize date, a power reserve indicator, and a subsidiary seconds display integrated within the tourbillon aperture. The beautifully symmetrical layout reflects both clarity and sophistication, while blued steel hands and applied markers enhance legibility and visual depth.

At the heart of this masterpiece lies the manually wound caliber L902.0, an engineering marvel distinguished by its fusée-and-chain transmission paired with a one-minute tourbillon—an exceptionally rare and technically demanding combination.
