JAEGER-LeCOULTRE MEMOVOX POLARIS II – Reference E870 – Stainless Steel – Blue Tritium Dial – Cal. 916 – Year 1970 – Excellent Vintage Condition

We are delighted to offer this excellent vintage JAEGER-LeCOULTRE MEMOVOX POLARIS II, reference E870 in stainless stel with a black leather strap.

The watch is featuring the original blue tritium dial, housed in a robust stainless steel 44mm case and powered by the legendary Caliber 916 automatic alarm movement.

This particular example dates to approximately 1970 and represents one of the boldest and most technically advanced mechanical alarm watches of its era.

Introduced in the early 1970s as the successor to the original Polaris, the Polaris II was a dramatic evolution — both in design and technology. The large, tonneau-shaped case houses one of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most important movements: the Cal. 916, notable for its fast-beat rate of 28,800 vph and robust alarm mechanism. Only a1120 POLARIS II models were made with different dial and bezel colors - grey, ver often, burgundy and blue rather rare!
