IWC VINTAGE INGENIEUR SL "JUMBO" – Ref. 3303
A Rare and Iconic Gerald Genta Design in Stainless Steel, Complete with Box and Papers, Circa 1981
We are delighted to offer this excellent IWC Ingenieur SL Jumbo, reference 3303 in stainless steel with its steel bracelet.
The ref. 3303 is a bold and refined creation designed by the legendary Gérald Genta, and one of the few quartz-driven variants ever produced.
Crafted in stainless steel and fitted with its original integrated steel bracelet, this timepiece embodies Genta’s unmistakable design language—characterized by clean lines, industrial elegance, and strong wrist presence.
This particular Ingenieur SL Jumbo is accompanied by:
- Original IWC gold presentation box
- Original sales invoice
- Warranty papers dated 25 September 1981
- An extra bracelet link
- IWC repair/service letters
Produced in extremely limited numbers—estimated at only 150 pieces, the Ref. 3303 represents the only quartz iteration of the iconic Ingenieur SL “Jumbo,” making it a true connoisseur’s piece and a rare opportunity for Genta collectors.
The watch features the signature 40mm tonneau-shaped case, a black checkered tritium dial, and the clean dial layout that defines the early Ingenieur SL series. Despite its quartz movement, it retains all the gravitas of its automatic sibling, Ref. 1832, while offering a distinct rarity and value proposition.
With its sculptural proportions, distinctive 1970s flair, and full collector’s set, the 3303 is not only a design milestone from Schaffhausen, but also one of the last affordable access points into the world of vintage Genta-designed sports watches.
Comes with a one year warranty from our watch lab.
