F.P.JOURNE Centigraphe LineSport Titanium, Mark 1 Titanium Rubber Bracelet Box Papers Bj-2017 Full Set Excellent

We are proud to present a striking and highly technical example from F.P.Journe's celebrated lineSport collection: the Centigraphe Sport in titanium, presented here on its matching titanium bracelet with rubber inserts, an early Mark 1 execution from the model's original run between 2014 and 2018.

Where most independent watchmakers reserve their most complex mechanisms for precious metal dress watches, François-Paul Journe took the opposite approach with the Centigraphe Sport, housing one of his most technically daring chronograph movements inside a featherlight 44mm titanium case designed for genuine daily and sporting use. 

The case, fitted with distinctive rubber inserts at the lugs and crown for shock protection, achieves a remarkably slim 11mm profile despite its technical density, a watch built to be worn, not merely admired.

At the heart of the Centigraphe beats the manual winding Calibre 1506, a movement unlike any conventional chronograph. Rather than measuring elapsed time in the usual manner, the Centigraphe's hundredth of a second hand completes a full revolution of its subdial once every second, allowing, in principle, a fractional reading down to 1/100th of a second, accompanied by a 20 second counter at 2 o'clock and a 10 minute counter at 6 o'clock. 

Uniquely, F.P.Journe isolated the chronograph function entirely from the timekeeping train, meaning the balance amplitude remains unaffected whether the chronograph is running or not, a patented innovation, alongside the equally patented rocker actuated start, stop, and reset mechanism set into the case band at 2 o'clock, replacing the conventional pushers found on virtually every other chronograph. The movement's bridges and baseplate, executed in aluminium alloy rather than the brand's usual rose gold, further reduce weight without compromising the exquisite finishing F.P.Journe is known for, circular Côtes de Genève, hand chamfered steel components, and polished screw heads throughout.

Completing the watch is its titanium bracelet, itself fitted with rubber inserts at each link to match the case, secured by a titanium folding clasp engraved with the F.P.Journe signature, offering both remarkable comfort and a coherent, purposeful aesthetic from case to clasp.
