Offered here in like-new condition, complete with original box, papers, and full set, this striking timepiece pays tribute to the legendary black and gold livery of the 1970s Formula 1 “John Player Special” race cars — a design that perfectly reflects De Bethune’s fusion of modern engineering and artistic refinement.

The 43 mm Grade 5 titanium case features De Bethune’s patented floating lug system, ensuring exceptional wrist comfort and ergonomic balance. Its sleek, futuristic architecture embodies the independent manufacture’s avant-garde approach, combining sculptural design with mechanical mastery.

The black microlight dial is framed by contrasting gold accents that evoke the “John Player Special” aesthetic, while the off-centre date display and elegant central hands maintain perfect symmetry and visual depth. 

At its heart beats the in-house automatic calibre DB 2178, visible through the sapphire caseback.
