The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 is not merely a timepiece—it is a cornerstone of modern haute horlogerie and a symbol of German watchmaking’s triumphant return to the world stage. Offered here is a particularly elegant example: Reference 101.021 in 18k yellow gold, featuring the highly sought-after light champagne dial, paired with a refined brown crocodile leather strap and the original 18k yellow gold pin buckle.

The dial layout of the Lange 1 is instantly recognizable and entirely unique. Its asymmetric design, governed by the golden ratio, achieves a perfect visual balance while displaying hours, minutes, small seconds, power reserve indicator, and the iconic outsize date—a signature complication inspired by the historic five-minute clock of the Semper Opera House in Dresden. Its architecture and finishing are widely regarded as among the finest in the world.

All of this mechanical artistry can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback, which reveals the movement in full detail. The transparent back transforms the watch into a visual experience, allowing the wearer to appreciate the depth, texture, and hand-finishing techniques that define A. Lange & Söhne.
