This is one of the most iconic and collectible vintage chronographs of all time - The Paul Newman in 18k gold. This reference represents the genesis of the Daytona drivers chrono legend and is considered a grail piece in the world of vintage Rolex collecting.
The Ref. 6239/41 was the first Daytona to bear the now-famous name on the dial, and the “Paul Newman” variant — characterized by its exotic Tritium dial — has become one of the most sought-after watches in existence. Solid gold examples are exceedingly rare, and those preserved in this condition, with accompanying box, are rarer still.
