The Day-Date has always been Rolex's statement piece, reserved for platinum and gold since its introduction, and this reference takes that exclusivity a step further with a dial that comes from somewhere entirely outside the workshop, outer space.
The 40mm case is solid 950 platinum, Rolex's heaviest and rarest case metal, paired with the integrated three link President bracelet the model is named after and a flat, smooth bezel that lets the dial take center stage. A screw down Twinlock crown and solid case back keep the watch true to Rolex's tool watch engineering underneath all that precious metal.
The dial itself is genuine meteorite, meaning no two examples are ever quite the same, since the natural crystalline pattern only appears once the material is cut and etched. Baguette diamonds mark the hours, the day sits in its arched window at twelve o'clock, and the date shows through Rolex's signature Cyclops lens at three, keeping the Day-Date's core identity intact even as the dial itself becomes the real talking point.
Inside runs the caliber 3255, Rolex's modern in-house movement with a 70 hour power reserve and full COSC chronometer certification, so this remains a serious daily watch and not just a display piece.
This example is new-like, complete with box, papers and the full accompanying set, exactly as it left the boutique.
