We are pleased to offer this rare and poetic Girard-Perregaux 1966 Infinity Edition, Reference 49555-11-632-BB60—a modern masterpiece that captures the essence of a starless night sky. Part of a strictly limited production of only 188 pieces, this 2022 example belongs to the exclusive Infinity series, which reimagines the brand’s most iconic silhouettes through the lens of one of nature’s most enigmatic materials: black onyx.

The watch is housed in the classic 40 mm stainless steel 1966 case, celebrated for its slender profile and elegant, flowing lines. At just 8.9 mm thick, the polished case and tapered lugs offer a refined, low-profile silhouette that epitomizes the "black-tie" dress watch. Its mirror-like finish provides the perfect frame for the centerpiece of the design—the dial.

The polished black onyx dial is a marvel of artisanal craftsmanship, requiring no fewer than 15 meticulous operations over several months to achieve its perfectly uniform, deep-inky luster. This dark, infinite backdrop is punctuated by applied pink gold hour markers and a matching 18 ct pink gold "GP" logo at 12 o'clock, creating a warm, luxurious contrast. The rhodium-plated leaf-style hands and a slender golden central seconds hand glide effortlessly over the date window at 3 o'clock, which is seamlessly integrated into the onyx surface.

Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback is the Manufacture Caliber GP03300-1402. This ultra-thin automatic movement is composed of 218 parts and features an exclusive 18 ct pink gold oscillating weight reserved for this limited edition. Every bridge and plate is exquisitely finished with circular graining and Côtes de Genève, reflecting the technical excellence that earned Girard-Perregaux the Neuchâtel Observatory Centenary Prize in the 1960s.

The watch is fitted with a black alligator leather strap featuring tonal black and pink-gold-colored stitching, secured by a stainless steel triple-folding buckle.
