Launched in 2016, the Saxonia Moon Phase embodies Lange’s signature approach to understated elegance, mechanical precision, and poetic complication. The warm rose gold case measures a versatile 40mm in diameter, with polished surfaces and brushed flanks that capture the quiet confidence of Glashütte's finest.

The dial, crafted from solid silver and finished in a luminous argenté tone, features elegant solid-gold baton markers and alpha hands. Its perfectly integrated moon phase display — rendered in deep blue with a star-studded sky — sits harmoniously within the small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. True to Lange’s rigorous standards, the moon-phase mechanism is calculated to remain accurate for 122.6 years before needing adjustment.

At the heart of the watch is the meticulously hand-finished Caliber L086.5, an in-house automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve and a solid 21k gold central rotor with platinum mass. The movement, visible through the sapphire caseback, showcases the full artistry of German watchmaking: Glashütte stripes, hand-engraved balance cock, gold chatons, and thermally blued screws.
