This is a very good Rolex vintage Datejust Oysterquartz, ref. 17000 in stainless steel with stainless steel bracelet.
Manufactured in the later 1970s, this watch has got a fantastic design.
Only about 22.000 pieces are said to be produced and that is of course just a fraction of the regulat Datejust model.
Legendary mountain giants like Sir Edmond Hillary (steel and gold) and Reinhold Messner used to wear the Oyster quartz in that period.
