This is an excellent Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz ref.17000 in stainless steel with Oyster bracelet.
Manufactured in the later 1988s, this watch has got a fantastic 70ies design.
Only about 22.000 pieces are said to be produced and that is of course just a fraction of the regulat Datejust model.
Legendary mountain giants like Sir Edmond Hillary (steel and gold) and Reinhold Messner used to wear the Oyster quartz in that period.
Iconic gentleman´s every day Rolex in steel.
