We are pleased to present this extraordinary IWC Vintage INGENIEUR PROTOTYPE Ref. 866, crafted in stainless steel and accompanied by a grey leather strap.

Included with this ultra rare timepiece is an extract from the IWC archive, detailing the watch's original dispatch.

Over the years, we have yet to encounter another INGENIEUR featuring a black Tritium dial with Arabic, military-style numerals, paired with a matte, brushed steel case. It is reasonable to surmise that this piece was a prototype created for a request of the GERMAN BUNDESWEHR. The watch back tehn was not aprooved and therefore not manufactured. 

We believe that only a very limited number of these MIL-INGENIEURS.
