Vacheron Constantin Égérie Self-Winding Ref. 4606F/000G-B649, 18k White Gold, Full Pavé Dial, Case and Bezel, 2022, Unworn

With the Égérie collection, Vacheron Constantin created a line entirely dedicated to women, where fine watchmaking meets haute couture. The collection was introduced in 2020 together with the couture designer Yiqing Yin, known for her work with pleats and flowing fabrics. Its signature is an off-center design built around two intertwined circles, inspired by watches from the manufacture’s own history. This reference is the most precious version of the self-winding Égérie: it sparkles with 912 round-cut diamonds.

The 35 mm case is made of 18 karat white gold and measures 9.52 mm in height. The case and bezel are set with diamonds totaling around 2.45 ct. The crown sits at half past one, set with a rose-cut diamond, and together with the Vacheron Constantin signature and the date it forms a subtle diagonal line across the watch. It is an elegant and unexpected detail that sets the Égérie apart from any other ladies’ watch.

The dial is made of 18 karat gold and fully set with 574 round-cut diamonds weighing around 1.50 ct. The date sits off-center between 1 and 2 o’clock, framed by a gold ring set with another 34 diamonds. The leaf-shaped hands and Arabic numerals in 18 karat gold, together with a blued seconds hand, stay clearly readable against the sparkling pavé. Vacheron Constantin uses only top white diamonds of high clarity, and you can see that in the way the dial plays with light.

Inside works the self-winding Vacheron Constantin caliber 1088 with around 40 hours of power reserve, visible through the sapphire caseback.

The watch comes with two interchangeable straps in dark blue, one in satin-effect calfskin and one in alligator leather, each with a diamond-set white gold pin buckle. Thanks to the quick-change system, the straps can be switched by hand in seconds, without any tools.

The watch dates from 2022 and is unworn. It comes as a full set with papers. Box is still in search...
